okay y’all…are you ready for this?! i shot this wedding at the end of April & i’m just now getting around to posting it. i have been so busy & there were SO MANY photos i’m in love with that i had a hard time picking which ones to show you. haha This day was so unique & fun for me…an inspiration! honestly, i feel that way about lots of the weddings i have booked for this year – you can be the judge of that as i keep posting more.
since my blog wasn’t around when i did their engagement photos, i thought i’d show you one from their snowy session at the Botanical Garden’s.

kate & jared are so relaxed & sweet – i just loved watching them together & seeing how all of the details of their wedding day complimented their personalities so perfectly. i’m so excited to share these photos with you so you can see just how beautifully their day came together.
on April 30th the only slot available at the Piper Palm House in Tower Grove Park was in the morning; so we had a nice early start to their long, chill, sunny, breezy, spring wedding day.
the girls got ready at the Palm House & the guys joined jared at his nearby apartment for their prep…i was able to sneak over there for a few shots.
jared’s mom MADE kate’s dress! how special is that? of course it was one of a kind, fit her perfectly, & was so comfortable all day.
each of the guys got to wear their own suit & tie – springy colors of course. i love how they are all different, yet still flow together so nicely. do you see an acorn in one of the boutonnieres? my friend Bethany actually did all of the flowers…her work is always so lovely! you can connect with her & see more of her work at Ordained Designs on facebook.
needless to say, kate LOVES bright colors! haha i had a hard time making any of the photos black & white because all of the colors were so bright & i didn’t want to hide them. i love that all of the girls had their own pick of jewelry & shoes for the day…keeping with their individual personalities & comfort levels.
the ceremony was out in front of the Piper Palm House by the little pond (a beautiful setting of course) & had lots of unique little touches…i’d like to find a better word than that, but that’s really what it was – unique!
kate & jared were escorted down the isle by both of their parents, who blessed them & their marriage. their rings were tied together in a little box which was passed around during the service before they exchanged them to symbolize the importance of having the support of their family & friends (that is after all why you want people to come to your wedding isn’t it?)…perfect.

after the wedding & family photos the wedding party & their close friends headed over to one of the many beautiful pavilions in Tower Grove Park for a picnic, mimosas, music & games! looks like fun doesn’t it?!
now, washers i know, but i have never seen this before, & of course i don’t remember what they called it…but it was very entertaining.
some of their friends were really good at this – at one point two guys were on it at the same time! it was nice of kate & jared to help each other out when it was their turn eh?. haha
we stuck around Tower Grove Park for a few hours relaxing & then doing some fun wedding party photos. here’s a little smathering of that fun part of the day.
don’t you just love em?!
then we headed downtown to take some fun photos by the GIANT graffiti wall…which was of course a backdrop filled with lots of crazy pictures & colors.
who wouldn’t be craving some delicious italian gilato right about now? there’s always room for that before dinner, right?
this sweet little gelateria is near the corner of Grand & Wyoming Street. if you’re in the area i highly recommend stopping in for a sweet treat in a charming setting…there’s even a nice little patio out back too.
and now for some of the reception highlights! their reception was held in the beautiful, old, swanky Moulin with a beautiful view of downtown. there were so many adorable details at their reception. all of the tables were labled with letters on these cute little cards instead of numbers.
kate modge podged all of the jars on the tables. the little k+j stir straws were adding little punches of bright colors everywhere. there was a delicious variety of pies & cakes for dessert. & of course special fruity cocktails for the toasts.
about half-way through the father-daughter dance to “You Are My Sunshine” jared & his mom joined in & then the remaining parents cut in & everyone danced together…so sweet!
THANK YOU SO MUCH KATE & JARED for inviting me to share in your memorable wedding day!
