Hey there! I’m Gertrude…welcome to my site & this little spot to tell you a bit about ME.   Photography is obviously a huge passion of mine – I may actually be my happiest when I’ve got a camera in my hand capturing LIFE as I see it.  But this is the part of my site where I get to share about the girl behind the camera….in case you’d like to know.  haha

I am a lover of my big family (I’m the 4^th of 5 kids), my handsome sweetness, boating, autumn leaves, holding hands, coffee shops, road trips, playing fun games, worshiping, laughing with friends, sushi, romantic comedies, shopping & finding good deals, traveling, delicious food, inspirational quotes, red wine, Cardinal’s baseball, unexpected girl-time, cuddling in front of a fire, exploring new places & relaxing at some of my favorite places all over the world, watching the sunset & of course…taking photos!

I’ve been described as friendly, outgoing, loud & eclectic…I think that just about sums it up.  Haha  If enthusiasm was a love language I’m pretty sure it would sit high up on my list next to gifts & quality time.  I’m a girl that loves expression!!  I openly show my passion & excitement when I work – lots of life, love, tenderness, tears, laughter, stolen kisses,  group hugs, giggling children, growing families, & the uniqueness of every beautiful person I get to work with…even smooth moves on the dance floor.  ;)  I love sharing exciting & very special moments in the lives of my clients – capturing them in the capsule of a photograph for all time.

Speaking of love, I’m in love with this great guy – John Paul.  Isn’t he handsome?  & he’s sweet, smart, encouraging & funny too.    I can guarantee you’ll be seeing more about him/us on my blog…I just can’t resist sharing goodies.

Simply put, I love LOVE!!  I love watching how God orchestrates our lives so beautifully & that I get to, not only see it in my life, but in the lives of every love story I’ve had the honor to capture.  Without God’s love & grace I don’t know where I’d be today.  Taking Him at his word is the most empowering & inspiring thing I’ve ever experienced – He is always faithful & I love putting my trust in Him.  He is at the core of me & the strength I have comes straight from the joy he has placed in my heart.
